OTBI Multi-Language Support
Summary
This white paper explains how OTBI supports multi-language translation, the current limitation and the planned enhancementContent
OTBI supports multi-language translation. OTBI user interface, all delivered OTBI subject areas, analyses and dashboards can be rendered in a user’s locale language that is supported by Oracle Cloud applications. OTBI also supports language-independent filtering on multi-lingual data.
However, OTBI multi-language support has one limitation in the SaaS environment. Custom text strings in custom OTBI analyses and dashboards can’t be translated in multi-languages. An enhancement is planned in Release 12 in 2017 that will allow customers to export custom strings from the catalog and upload the translated strings back to the catalog for custom analyses and dashboards translation.
