Whats Changing:
The US Citizenship and Immigration Services has announced changes will be forthcoming to the I-9 form. Employers will need to ensure New Hires complete the new form as of January 21, 2017 (https://www.uscis.gov/i-9-central/whats-new), as all previous versions of the I-9 form will be invalid after that date. While the form has not yet been published by the agency, early guidance suggests the form will bring with it several changes, including a QR code that will appear on the form once it is printed, intended to facilitate review of the I-9 form by auditors.
