Programmatically changing Steps/Status

We are building an integration between TEE and SuccessFactors onboarding and are wondering if anyone knows the steps/language to programmatically change a TEE candidate from the step of ‘Offer’ and status of ‘OfferAccepted’ to the step of ‘Hired’ and status of ‘To be Hired’?
