Drop dependents over age 26

edited Sep 5, 2020 12:10AM in Benefits 6 comments

Summary

Is it possible to drop the dependents automatically who are over age 26 from a plan

Content

Hi,

  1. Created an age derived factor Age < 26
  2. Attached the derived factor Age < 26 to the "Eligible Dependents" Eligibility Profile.
  3. Attached the eligibility profile to the designation requirements of the plan type.

We only got this far. Can we use any of the seeded life events like derived factor type or ineligible to participate life event to trigger the life events when a dependent becomes over age 26? What are the next steps to have the enrolled dependents to automatically drop from the enrollment? Or is creating a life event and forcing an employee to remove the dependents the only option?
