How to present anonymous candidates to Hiring Manager
Summary
Using TCC mask certain fields to anonymize candidate dataContent
The Problem
It is becoming more common in the UK for organisations to request managers to shortlist candidates without the manager being able to see the name of the candidate, to prevent any sort of ethnic bias that may exists. The manager should still use Oracle Talent Acquisition Cloud to view the candidate and progress or reject the candidate.
The candidate’s name (and possibly other personal information) therefore needs to be made anonymous until the candidate is progressed to the interview stage.
The Solution
UDFs are created to duplicate all the fields that are required to be made anonymous, at a point in the CSW TCC is then used to copy the actual values of into the UDFs and update the standard fields with “#####”. This would be the point the manager first has access to the candidates. The manager does not have access to the UDFs and therefore only sees the name of the candidate as ####. Later in the CSW TCC overwrites the #### values with the values stored in the UDFs to restore the identity of the candidate.
