Security setup question - how do I ensure the links are out of the navigator

Summary

Attachment shows the links I want to exclude from the Navigator

Content

I need to exclude the highlighted (in black boxes and highlighted yellow) links from the navigator.

 

I have tried taking out the relevant duty roles from the application role of employee, but haven't been successful.

Could anyone shed some light please.
