Unable to delete attachments of a candidate as a recruiter

Content

Attachments can not be deleted by a recruiter when they are attached to a candidate. The system responds with the error: 

Access Denied

You do not have sufficient access rights to perform part or all of this action. 

 Is this not possible? I cannot find any ways to alter this in the role.
