End Dating Jobs in workforce profile

Should end dating the job against the workforce profile, remove it from the persons job profile?Content
Hi
We have noticed that when we end date a job title against a workforce profile and then add that job title to another profile. Employees are showing multiple profiles against there record in self service. The profile seems to display via start date. So for those affected the original role profile is showing with an option to drop down to their current role.
Before I raise an SR, is this expected behaviour?
