Action Link- 2 different subject areas (Recruiting and Perform)

Trying to use action link to filter data from another report

Hello,

We are trying to link out on Candidate ID from one report built in Recruiting to another report built in Performance. We have used the Action Link on Candidate ID in the Recruiting base report, and have added a filter for when Candidate ID is prompted in the Performance destination report. When a Candidate ID is clicked on the Recruiting report, the entire Performance report is displaying, rather than simply displaying the selected Candidate ID information. Can you please provide any input on what we are missing to make this possible or any other ways of achieving this?
