Input Masks for address fields

Hello,

We are running into issues with candidates parsing their resumes when they apply, which inadvertently includes symbols at the end of their address. This is causing errors in the integration into PeopleSoft.  

I would like to leverage an input mask but my understanding is that the input mask not only dictates for format of the field, it also dictates the number of characters for the field.  

How are other Taleo clients solving this issue?
