Non-hired candidate data extraction via TCC to meet company data retention policies

Hello. Are any other fellow Taleo customers out there using TCC (either themselves or contracting for third party expertise) to actually extract non-hired candidate record data from their Taleo in order to follow company data retention policies specific to maintaining records of not hired employment applications?
I know that there are ways to archive/delete candidate records within Taleo itself. But this question of actually extracting data has surfaced within our company with recent review of data retention policies. We are still very early days of investigating this to decide what we truly need/want to do, but I was curious if any other fellow customers out there have done any activity in this area in their own companies. All thoughts are appreciated.
