Is it possible to link contacts with candidates?

I use Accounts for our staffing/temp agencies that we are contracted with. I use Contacts to list the agency reps we work with. When we place a temporary worker through an agency, I want to keep track of the specific contact that placed that temporary worker. I often need to reach out to the agency rep to ask questions about the worker or report issues. 

I know we can associate contacts with requisitions and that's helpful but, can we associate contacts with candidates?
