How to validate the synchronization between defined offer terms and offer terms in offer template

How to validate the synchronization between defined offer terms and offer terms in offer templateContent
Dear All,
We are trying to explore the possible ways of validating the offer terms in offer definition page and in the extended offer letter.
The user defines offer terms while creating an offer and then they will route it for the approval process. once the offer is approved, the user extends the offer letter. while extending the offer letter user can edit the offer template so there is a provision of changing the defined offer terms.
we tried to restrict the users in editing the offer letter. But unfortunately, we do not have an option to disable the EDIT button displayed in the offer letter assistance page. I checked with oracle and they confirmed it is a hard coded button and we cannot restrict the users in editing the offer template.
