Scheduling Center - is it possible for a recruiter to add a candidate to a schedule themselves

Is it possible for a recruiter to add a candidate to a scheduleContent
I don't have much experience with the scheduling center but hope someone on here does. My recruiters want to be able to schedule candidates into a calendar manually as well as have the candidates do it themselves. Is this possible? I looked at some of the documentation and couldnt' see anything obvious.
At the moment recruiters have to keep a separate list in Excel of candidates they have scheduled in addition to the ones that have scheduled themselves and then combine the lists outside of Taleo which doesn't make sense to me.
