How to update a username in R12

I created a username as bob.smith@xyz.com, but wanted it to be bob.smith (without the @domain).

Prior to the new Security Console, I could go in to OIM and make this change, but OIM is now gone and the username is grayed out in the Console.

Am I missing something?
