Can anyone explain why TBE Perform requires 2 login links which also have different password reset r

Just curious. I am asked this question frequently. I can't think of another system which does this.

Would be grateful to hear why TBE Perform is setup this way. I literally get hundreds of calls and emails each year from people saying that "Forgot Password" doesn't work. The problem is that they enter their email address rather than their login/username.
