R12 Compensation Cycle - merit worksheets alternate approver changes

If you have already started the compensation cycle and then make changes to alternate approvers do you have to 'refresh' the data in order for these changes to flow?

In R12 - compensation cycle for merit worksheets.  If you have already started the cycle and then you change the alternate approver table and save,  do you have to then 'refresh' or update the cycle to capture these changes appropriately?
