Salaried Non-Exempt employees: Time Card

edited Nov 20, 2017 6:55PM in Workforce Management 2 comments

Summary

Send certain time card information over to payroll but not other information

Content

Client has the following requirement: All salaried non-exempt employees must fill out time cards (even though the time card required box should not be checked) but will get their monthly salary regardless of the time that they submit. The client only cares about the absences and the time over 40 hours from a payroll perspective.

The issue that we are having is the following: An employee makes 10,000 a month in base salary. This employee, because they are salaried non-exempt, still must fill out a time card. The employee reports 160 hours of a work for the month. The employee is being paid their monthly salary in addition to the time that they are entering on the time card. We do not want this to happen as we only care about the time over 40 hours that the employee is being compensated for and the absences the employee entered.
