Competencies & Behaviors - Performance Documents and Talent Profile Differences

Content

My understanding of Competencies and Behaviors are as follows:

  • A parent/child or support relationship can be enabled between these content types
  • Behaviors are visible on the talent profile and ratings can be given on each individual behavior
    • Those ratings calculate an average for the parent competency but that cannot be overridden
  • Behaviors are not visible in a performance document and ratings occur on the parent competency only
    • You cannot see behaviors anywhere in a performance document
    • Once the ratings are finalized and update the talent profile you still can't see the related behaviors
  • Effectively, the only way to see behaviors are by adding them directly on the talent profile
