Invoice an order before shipping

Need to define a business scenario where a sales order must first be invoiced and then, shipped.

Hi all,

We have a business scenario where a customer requires to create a sales order, and then to create the invoice, before the corresponding shipping. It means, the product remains in the plant and reserved for some time, but the invoice must be done after confirmation, and earlier than shipping. When it is time, the user should continue the process and ship the product. How can we achieve this ? Any tip?
