Utilize “UCM encryption” feature to control the access of BIP reports on UCM

Since March 1, 2018, Oracle Fusion Applications hosted SFTP server will be deprecated, the announcement is on https://support.oracle.com (MOS Doc ID 2312867.1). Customers’ BIP reports used to deliver to Fusion Applications’ SFTP server need to switch the destination to Oracle WebCenter Content (as known as UCM), or other SFTP server managed by customers.

Some HCM Cloud customers integrated HCM Cloud with the other systems, e.g. Office Automation (OA) used below approach,

  • As the data file, built the BIP report and generated the files on SFTP on a scheduled basis
  • Programed to retrieve the files from SFTP and process in the other systems
