Need to check if an employee is a Line Manager or not

I have a requirement in HCM Extracts where I need to check if an employee is a Line Manage or not. I am using an Extract Rule Fast Formula to check if the employee is a Line Manager or not and then returning the 'Y' or 'N' accordingly. But since in my fast formula it is checking through all the manager id in the supervisors table it may create a performance issue.

Can anyone please suggest some alternative solution to this. Any help would be appreciated.

DEFAULT_DATA_VALUE FOR PER_EXT_HIST_ASG_SUPERVISOR_MANAGER_ID IS 0
