Is it possible to assign candidates into projects (not other open requisitions)

Hi all,

We recently opened our early careers programme for applications using a general graduate requisition on Taleo.  The recruiters now wish to be able to sort the received applications into specific areas or projects.  Are there any recommended ways that other customers complete this task?  I imagine there are a few options:

1) Create several new specific requisitions (but not place them as open) and move candidates into this requisition.

2) Pipelining? I have seen this written on the forum a few times, but I'm unsure if the functionality still exists?
