Big Data Cloud at Customer storage to be expanded in an elastic fashion
Description
Expanding the BDCC storage in an elastic fashion would allow for larger seasonal workloads to use more storage, but shrink it when not neededUse Case and Business Need
The BDCC currently has 48 TB per Node of RAW Storage, since the service is based on the Big Data Cloud Service.
In many applications that is enough, but more often than not the storage is the first thing that people run out of in Big Data applications.
Instead of having to add new Nodes, BDCC would have the ability to expand the storage up to 120 TB per Node of RAW Storage in an elastic fashion, allowing customers to only pay per hour/month for TB used, and the ability to shrink the storage when no longer needed (for example on seasonal workloads).
