Start Date for Assignment Change in HCM

Start Date of the new Assignment is defaulting as the Hire Date instead of Current Date

While converting an FTC to Permanent employee we expect the Start date to be defaulted as the Effective Start date of the new Assignment however the Start Date is defaulting as Hire Date.

Although HZ_RS_DEF_START_DATE Profile option is set to Current Date (not the HIRE Date) yet the assignment start date is defaulting as Hire date.

For Example an FTC was created on 01/10/2016 and is converted to Permanent Employee on 01/10/2018 the Start Date for new Assignment is reflecting as 01/10/2016 and not the Current date 01/10/2018. The Assignment History does reflect the correct Effective Start Date though.
