Summary

How to set a field to a predetermined value based on business rules

Content

I have a field named Expiration Date in a business object. I want to set this field to (today + 30) or 30th June or 31st December etc. based on the selections made on the screen. I also want to show this field on the screen so users can see it. 

How can I do this? Does not seem very intuitive.
