New UDF Unavailable in Reporting

Hopefully this is easily answered (and falls into the "doh" category) - I created new UDF (checked the setting for Custom Report Universe), added to requisition template but still not available in reporting. Is there an additional step to deploy so that the field can be pulled into a report..
