Alternate Resource not honored in Work Order

Hello All,

I have released a planned order (to be converted into work order) from Supply Planning by firming the resource as Alternate resource. The work order subsequently created in manufacturing still shows Primary resource and not the alternate resource. Any ideas on the probable resolution/root cause can be of great help. It is bit urgent.
