We are trying to understand how the Salary Information fields are being calculated behind the scenes within Workforce Compensation

We are trying to understand how the Salary Information fields (see screen print below) are being calculated by the system.  Specifically, I'm trying to determine how the Base Salary - New field and the Annualized Full-Time Salary - New field are calculated. 

We have a component called "Merit Increase" that we use where managers are inputting salary change amounts.  Managers are entering a salary increase % in the Percentage of Eligible Salary - Component 2 field or they are entering a salary increase amount in the
