We can assign BSV (representing different legal entities from different ledgers) to a particular legal entity. How and where is such a setup used?

We can assign BSV (representing different legal entities from different ledgers) to a particular legal entity. How and where is such a setup used?

Since the BSV belong to the different ledgers, the intercompany transactions are not possible between them, as I believe. What is then the use case of such a setup?
