Job Competency setup using Model Job Profiles

We are setting up Job competencies using Model profiles on the Job.   We have approximately 300 jobs worldwide with an average of 25 competencies per job.   Struggling with how to best organize ? Should I set up separate content Types for each job and then a content item for each competency.  In some cases competencies are shared by different jobs.

Ultimately want to use these competencies in the Performance document with a target proficiency rating and then update using a proficiency rating and have that update the Person profile.

I am looking for some input/ example screenshots  of how others have approached.

Howdy, Stranger!
