How to track the history of lot expiration date changes

The system does not allow the tracking of lot changes and it is needed for legal reasons


When a product is nearing its expiration date, it is subjected to another quality test to verify if it's still up to good use. If it is, then the expiration date might change to another date in the future.

However, the system does not allow for a place to register such changes. There is only one field to insert the expiration date, if this date is changed to another one, then there is no way of knowing what the first date was. This is a much needed feature for the customer, as they are required to track all changes to the lots due to legal reasons.
