Removing Employment History from Candidate Application

Hello - we are trying to remove the 'Employment History' section from our candidate application, but keep the Education portion.  I see that they are set up in Taleo together.  I am able to hide some of the 'Employment History' fields, but the 'Position Title', 'Company Name', 'Date From/To' are mandatory and can't seem to find away to make them not mandatory so I can hide them as well.  Attached a screen shot.
