Restrict Manager from updating Salary if Future Dated Salary record exits
Content
We had a requirement where the client wanted to restrict manager from updating direct report's salary if future dated salary record exits. The enterprise config of Guided Flows: Future-dated records validation restricts manager for updating assignment changes ( transfer, promotion, working hours change) but does not restrict if the employee has future dated salary record.
The solution we could think of was to have this restriction using approval rules. We had to use the proposed salary attribute of Worker's Salary Details.Proposed Salary End Date.year to reject the transaction. Attaching the screenshot of the rule for reference. This was possible using BPM Worklist application (not via AMX).
