Saved Customizations

Hello,

I have a dashboard where users can save their customizations. This seems to be affecting the performance of the dashboard and prohibiting the dashboard from updating. When the user goes back to the report and uses the saved customization, the dashboard is not updated the the current data. 

Is this a bug or is this because the user is using a saved customization? What is the point of saving a customization if the data does not update and stays stale?
