Responsive vs Classic view

As we are implementing more of our HCM system, the HCM team is finding the need to potentially switch our system to use responsive pages instead of the classic interface. In some of our testing, we noticed that the icons that are used to easily jump between areas are missing in the responsive pages. I'm curious if anyone is live with responsive pages and might know if these are missing due to configurations that we need to enable, or if they are just not visible in the responsive UI at all.
