We have used Compensation Amount - Component 1 to store Merit Amt and Percentage of Eligible Salary - Component 1 to store Merit %. Our business requirement is that the user can enter either the merit amount or merit % with the other value calculating automatically. These calculations are automatically completed. 

However, we need to refresh data from HCM nightly and have salary changes impact the Merit Amt rather than the Merit %. The application currently brings in the new salary from HCM and leaves the pre-refresh merit amount in tact while adjusting the Merit %. Any suggestions on how we can keep the merit % in tact during refresh and have salary changes adjust the merit amount?
