Has anyone been able to delete a journal attachment from an approved Journal?

We had a situation in which PHI information has been attached to an approved journal. Is there anyway to delete the attachment and re-attach?

I understand we normally don't want users changing attachments for approved items but in this case there is a legal responsibility to delete that information. Not only legal responsibility for us but as we don't own or maintain the servers, I believe it's also a partial legal responsibility on Oracle b/c they are now housing data with PHI information.

Either way, is it possible to delete an attachment once a journal is posted and approved?
