Reactivating an onhold requisition throws error

Hi,
We have requisition which is in "On Hold" status. The requisition was in "To be approved" state before it was put onhold. 
When i try to activate the requisition it throws the following error message. 
"An unexpected error has occured. Please restart the application and try again"
Can you please let me know if anyone has faced the issue.
