Is there a way to configure a "send email" type task in a checklist?



I am working on an Enterprise Onboarding Step checklist. I need to configure a task that is a "send email" action type, in which the performer user has to send an email from the system and should have the possibility to indicate the email addresses to whom this message has to be sent. An "Email" action type is not expected in the system, so I wonder if the configuration described above is feasible. 
Is there a way to configure this type of task?
