Need to restrict few values in Account Type LOV from being Populated in Payment Methods

We have a requirement for restricting some values from the Account Type LOV from being populated in Payment Methods page – ESS.

We were able to achieve this in the Manage Personal Payment Methods Page for the Account Type LOV to restrict some values from being populated.

But in ESS, the Account Type shows all the values in the drop down in Payment Methods under About Me.
We need to display only few values in the drop down for the Account Type in Payments methods like Checkings, Savings etc and need to restrict other values like GIRO, Buildings etc in the Account Type LOV from being displayed. Please let me know how to achieve this.
