Inactivate input field in a worksheet based on the input from another worksheet

Hi,
We are using Salary review and promote worksheet in our compensation plan. The promotion worksheet change will be reflected in the salary review worksheet. Is it possible to inactivate the input field in the Salary review worksheet, if there are any entry in the promotion worksheet.
Please let me know if anyone has faced this before.
