Must Supplier Location drive the the BU it is associated with?

We have an international BU and a US BU.  We recently setup a supplier that is located in Ireland, which would normally be considered International.  However, we want to pay them from a US company and US bank account.  Is there any issue with setting them up to the US BU?  I'm assuming that is doable as long as we understand that the payments would be limited to US only and a separate supplier would need to be setup if that should change.
