Removing Rich Text Formatting from OTBI Analysis

Morning all,

Can anyone suggest any ways of removing any formatting from text fields in OTBI? I'm trying to export our Goal Descriptions / Success Criteria / Comments fields, but our employees have used all sorts of formatting / bullet points, which then translates in to text when exported (see attached image).

Can anyone explain how to remove this? I've tried playing around with the Data Format from within the Column Properties of the column headers, but these end up completely destroying the formatting of the report and merging all sorts of random fields for some reason.

I've attached the report catalog too.
