Life Event to Trigger off Payroll Relationship Change

Is there a way to trigger a life event to trigger off a payroll relationship change? With an FLSA change (someone moving from Exempt to Non-Exempt or vice versa), this changes the deduction amounts. We have worked to build out a life event to trigger when someone's FLSA status changes on the assignment page and/or on the salary page. However, once processed, this still doesn't update the deduction amounts. The deduction amounts are actually only changing once the payroll relationship has been updated. And we can't have the payroll relationship automatically updated because of how our payrolls are run (someone could
