Delete Benefit Options - configuration

I'm configuring some benefit plans/options. I've added an option to a benefit plan and saved it, but realized it was a mistake. I immediately tried to delete it and I'm receiving the error that it cannot be deleted with a child record exists. As anyone run into this issue?
