Fields added to custom RTF don't show and fields removed still show

Hello All,
I have customized a seeded RTF where I added DFFs to the RTF template and removed unwanted fields from the RTF.
However, when I print the document from application page- I cannot see the added DFFs and the removed fields still show.
For DFFs to be included in the RTF, the following is done and verified:
1. Created DFF as BI enabled and deployed it.
2. Ran the "Import DFF..." related process
3. The custom RTF is selected as the default layout
4. Data model includes the DFF columns
5. Deleted Cache
6. RTF points to the custom data model which includes the DFF columns
