How the metric 'DiskIopsRead' is calculated?

Is the metric aggregated across attached volumes?

If we have 2 block volumes attached, are the metric values 'VolumeReadOps'  for the volumes & boot volume are added and shown as 'DiskIopsRead' for the instance?
