The LEI value against a main legal entity has been incorrect for some time and need correcting, but is there really no impact?

Hi All,

We need to correct a Legal Entity Identifier field in Fusion for a main LE, somehow it's been incorrect probably since before we went live - however everything I see, and advice via an Oracle SR, suggested there is no impact on correcting the value. Is that really the case and has anyone had to do this? 

Any advice on the field welcome, even if more info on why the field exists, etc...?
