Offer Approval WorkFlow for Internal candidates

How will Offer Approval WF work for Internal CandidatesContent
Dear Clan,
I have been testing the internal candidate application flow for the requisition which is open for both sites (Internal & External). I realised the following:
1. notifications for his application were not sent to the Recruiter who was Requisition Owner
2. The offer when submitted routed for approval, is in Approval Pending Status, but I cannot find this transaction in Approval WF. Please note the Offer Approval WF is working fine for external Applications.
My question is: 1. Can I control Approval WF for Internal Applicants?
2. Am I missing any set up as to why notification was not triggered to Recruiter when employee applied?
